The GS980MX Series of stackable Layer 3 Lite switches deliver high capacity, resiliency, and simplified management. Designed with Multi-Gigabit ports and Power over Ethernet, these switches are available in both compact and high port density models, making them an excellent choice for high-speed connectivity at the network edge. They support the demands of modern networking while providing flexibility for various deployment needs.
These switches enable support for high-speed Wi-Fi 6 solutions and smooth network upgrades over existing cabling with 2.5G and 5G connectivity on PoE models. They can connect and power endpoints such as IP phones and wireless access points with up to 30 Watts of PoE+, and also support high-power devices like outdoor PTZ cameras with heaters, blowers, and enhanced lighting controllers with up to 90 Watts of PoE++ on 10- and 18-port models. Resiliency is strengthened through the ability to stack multiple units using VCStack™, as well as extend network reach across distributed environments with long-distance stacking. Cost reduction and automation are further achieved through the Autonomous Management Framework™ Plus (AMF Plus).
Key features include the AlliedWare Plus™ enterprise-class operating system, which underpins reliable performance. Multi-Gigabit ports with PoE+/PoE++ provide versatile endpoint connectivity, while continuous PoE ensures uninterrupted device operation.
